salvatore pirino aka dj Sal 9000 is making his first north american appearance and comes to us from the tiny island of sardinia, italy. though he lives removed from the mainland where there is no denying the impact this man has had on the drumnbass and jungle scenes worldwide. as a contributor to the hyperreal.org archives (http://djsets.hyperreal.org), he has raised the expectations of the thousands of visitors that hit that site each day. salvatore is among the most prolific and dedicated of the djs featured there, and in that enclave where techno is mixed for the love of the art rather than money or fame, one finds that his mixes truly encapsulate the original spirit of that thing called Rave. salvatore mixes basslines that slither under your feet like snakes and rhythm tracks programmed with feline precision. you can hear what Sal 9000 has done for hyperreal : now feel what he does to you live!
